The central point of Writings is the content. All the features built around that content will have a supportive character. One of them is the new Publishing flow. You can use it to create content in one place, in your Writings account, and publish it on another social platform(s), in an easy and intuitive way.
However you sign up to Writings (Google, Twitter, Email/Password), you can still link other social accounts to your Writings account.
Which platforms are supported? ๐
At the moment you can link three social platforms to Writings:
- Medium
Your content on Twitter will be shared as an image, on Medium as a Draft Story (then, after reviewing it, you will need to make it public), and on LinkedIn as a feed update. In all cases, you will have the URL to access the shared article, and all that remains for you to do is to review if everything is as expected.
How to link social accounts? ๐
From Settings, you can select which account you want to enable and then follow the standard authentication flow from the platform itself. You will need to log in and review the required permissions and approve them. With these permissions Writings is granted the right to publish on your behalf.
Once you link your social accounts, you can go to your writing publish it there. How?
The publishing Flow ๐
You can trigger the publishing flow from your article’s publishing icon, as shown on the image. If you don’t have any social accounts linked, you can take it from there to the Settings tab. Otherwise you will see the already enabled social accounts.
Follow the wizard and the outcome should be a list of the published articles or potentially issues that happened while publishing.
Remember! Medium Article will be published as a Draft. You will need to review it and publish it from your Medium Dashboard afterward.
The list of supported platforms will be enlarged in the future.
Regardless if you do writing for a hobby, copywriting, or running yet another marketing campaign, writing in one place, and publishing on many other platforms from there will give you the strength to distribute your content quickly and efficiently.
